Chevy Tracker
In 1999 the Geo Tracker was officially discontinued and rebranded to be the new Chevy Tracker. The Chevy Tracker was produced between 1999 and 2004.
The Chevy version gave the Tracker a significant facelift and major updates. The body style was updated to a more modern look and the body was lengthened.

The upgrade also brought some very unpopular moves as well. The 1999 and later Trackers changed to a lightweight automobile-type rack and pinion steering system, which made them very unpopular with off-roaders since it is easily damaged and expensive to repair. This move was probably the downfall of this once popular lightweight 4x4.
